MyChart Bedside mobile is now available to all inpatient clinical areas at Alameda, San Leandro and Highland Hospitals, making it even easier for Alameda Health System (AHS) patients to stay informed, connected and in control while in the hospital.

“By expanding MyChart Bedside, we’re leveraging technology to provide an exceptional patient experience, putting real-time information and tools directly in patients’ hands so they feel empowered and supported throughout their hospital stay,” said Evan Berry, enterprise program manager.

Designed to enhance the patient experience, MyChart Bedside is a digital portal patients can access on their mobile device anywhere there’s a Wi-Fi or mobile connection.

The tool is automatically available for anyone with an active MyChart account and gives patients and their families real-time access to important information about their hospital care.

With MyChart Bedside, patients can use their mobile phone or tablet to track their daily schedule, see medications, learn about their treatment plan, sign consent forms and more.

By reducing the need to remember questions or use the call button, the portal allows patients to engage more fully and confidently in their care.

In addition, a built-in feedback feature also lets users share their experience, helping AHS continue to improve the tool in alignment with patient needs.

This level of access not only supports patients during their hospital stay, but also equips them with the tools and resources they need to manage their health after discharge. By staying informed and connected, patients are better able to prevent unnecessary readmissions and remain actively involved in their care journey.

Whether it’s confirming a care plan, reviewing instructions, or alerting the care team to a question, MyChart Bedside keeps patients and their advocates at the center of every decision.

To access MyChart Bedside, patients must have an active MyChart account. Those without one can get started today by visiting MyChart for more information, tools, and resources.
