If you don’t find the resources you need or answers to your questions here, please contact us.
As a member of AHS, you will contribute to our patient and family-centered care approach where we develop programs, policies and processes that improve the patient experience and give patients and their families the opportunity to make informed choices.
We offer students an environment that is supportive of a wide range of educational programs and activities. Each year we provide opportunities for students of nursing and allied health to complete their health care-related educational placements as part of their study. We also offer internships throughout the year.
Residency and Fellowships
Programs are offered in Emergency Medicine, Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Residents do rotations at many institutions in the San Francisco Bay Area, including UCSF Medical Center, San Francisco General Hospital, several Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers, UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland, California Pacific Medical Center, John Muir Medical Center, and others.
Nurse Education and Training
Our Professional Practice Ladder program promotes the professional enrichment and growth of AHS’s nurses. The self-directed program of clinical inquiry, research and on-going learning was designed by nurse clinicians, charge nurses, educators and advance practice nurses.
Health professionals who are currently registered within the Referral Tracking system can complete referrals both on and off line. Health professionals not registered within the system can obtain registration information.
